SpaceRouter Proxy
Product-Specific Terms
Effective Date: May 8, 2026 Last Updated: May 8, 2026

These SpaceRouter Proxy Product-Specific Terms ("Proxy Terms") apply to your access to and use of the SpaceRouter Proxy service (the "Proxy Service") and form part of the SpaceRouter Terms of Service (the "Master Terms"). Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings given in the Master Terms.

01
Scope of Service

The Proxy Service provides routing of user-initiated internet traffic through independently operated residential or network nodes.

02
Nature of Service

The Proxy Service operates as a technical routing layer. SpaceRouter does not control, direct, or determine:

  • the content of user traffic;
  • the destination of requests; or
  • the purpose of user activity.
03
Compliance Obligations

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Proxy Service complies with:

  • applicable laws and regulations;
  • the terms of service of any third-party websites or platforms accessed; and
  • any applicable robots.txt or access control mechanisms.
04
Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Proxy Service to:

  • access systems or data without authorization;
  • scrape, crawl, or collect data in violation of applicable terms;
  • engage in fraud, abuse, or deceptive practices; or
  • circumvent access controls or safeguards imposed by third parties.
05
Billing and Escrow Settlement

This section describes the on-chain escrow settlement mechanism for the Proxy Service. It supplements Section 5 (Fees and Payment) of the Master Terms.

5.1 Payment Mechanism

Use of the Proxy Service is subject to usage-based fees measured by the volume of bytes transmitted through the network. Fees are paid using SPACE tokens via an on-chain smart contract escrow on the Creditcoin blockchain. Current fee rates are published on the Services and may be updated in accordance with the Master Terms. For the avoidance of doubt, payment methods available for the Proxy Service are as published on the Services from time to time. References to alternative payment methods in the Master Terms do not guarantee availability for any specific Product.

5.2 Escrow Deposit Requirement

Before initiating proxy requests, you must deposit SPACE tokens into the designated escrow smart contract. The current contract address, supported network, and minimum deposit requirements are published on the Services.

If your escrow balance is insufficient to satisfy an incoming proxy request at the time of processing, the Gateway will return a 402 Payment Required error and the request will not be processed. SpaceRouter is not liable for any interruption to your use of the Proxy Service resulting from an insufficient escrow balance.

5.3 Receipt Signing and Payment Authorization

Upon completion of each proxy session, the Gateway will transmit a payment receipt to your client. The receipt identifies the bytes transmitted and the corresponding SPACE token charge. Deduction of SPACE tokens from your escrow balance is authorized solely upon your cryptographic signing of the receipt in accordance with the applicable signing standard.

If a receipt is not signed, no deduction will occur for that session. You are responsible for ensuring that your client software processes and signs receipts. SpaceRouter assumes no liability for usage that is transmitted but not settled due to a failure to sign receipts, except where such failure is directly attributable to a fault in the Gateway's receipt delivery.

5.4 Withdrawal of Escrowed Funds

You may request withdrawal of unused SPACE tokens from your escrow balance at any time. Withdrawal requests are subject to a five (5) day holding period to allow for the settlement of outstanding receipts submitted by node operators.

During the holding period:

  • outstanding receipts may continue to be applied against your escrow balance; and
  • if your remaining balance falls below the amount of your withdrawal request, the withdrawal may be cancelled automatically.

SpaceRouter is not responsible for the cancellation of a withdrawal request resulting from the application of outstanding receipts during the holding period. No refund is available for SPACE tokens deducted pursuant to signed receipts.

5.5 Insufficient Balance at Settlement

If your escrow balance is insufficient to satisfy outstanding receipts at the time of settlement, those receipts will be written off. SpaceRouter's sole remedy in connection with such unsettled usage is to suspend your account and refuse future access to the Services.

5.6 Wallet Address Accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any wallet address you provide for payment or identity purposes. SpaceRouter is not responsible for any loss of funds resulting from incorrect wallet addresses provided by you.

5.7 Regulatory Risk — Money Transmission

On-chain escrow involving the transfer of digital assets may be classified as a money transmission service or equivalent regulated activity in certain jurisdictions. Regulatory treatment of digital asset payment infrastructure varies by jurisdiction, and no representation is made regarding the legal classification of any payment mechanism under the laws of any particular jurisdiction. You are responsible for determining whether your use of the Proxy Service payment mechanism complies with applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including any licensing, reporting, or compliance obligations that may apply to you. The Proxy Service may not be available in certain jurisdictions identified by SpaceRouter as presenting elevated regulatory risk.

5.8 Fee Structure and Gateway Margin

The Proxy Service operates a two-leg payment structure. When you submit a proxy request, fees are charged at a consumer rate set by SpaceRouter. Node operators who process your traffic are compensated at a separate provider rate. The difference between the consumer rate and the provider rate is retained by SpaceRouter as a margin. Current consumer rates and provider rates are published separately on the Services.

06
Node Operator Earnings Settlement

This section governs the traffic-based earnings mechanism available to node operators. It supplements Section 4.2 and Section 4.3 of the Master Terms. Staking rewards and traffic-based earnings are separate and governed independently.

6.1 Registration Requirement

To receive traffic-based earnings, a node operator must register their node identity with the escrow smart contract. Registration must be completed in accordance with the process described at docs.spacecoin.org. SpaceRouter does not guarantee any specific registration timeline.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your node is registered prior to operating it. SpaceRouter is not liable for any earnings lost during any period in which your node was unregistered.

6.2 Effect of Operating Without Registration

If a node processes traffic while unregistered, the batch settlement contract will skip the corresponding receipts without returning an error. No earnings will be credited and no notification will be sent. SpaceRouter assumes no liability for earnings not credited due to the node operator's failure to complete registration.

6.3 Earnings Distribution

Earnings are distributed to the registered wallet address associated with your node identity in accordance with the applicable settlement mechanism. By default, earnings are sent to your staking wallet address. You may designate a separate collection address by configuring the applicable environment variable prior to node operation.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any collection address you configure. SpaceRouter is not responsible for any loss of earnings resulting from an incorrectly configured collection address.

6.4 Gas Fees

On-chain settlement transactions are submitted by the node and incur gas fees on the Creditcoin network. These gas fees are borne solely by the node operator. SpaceRouter does not reimburse gas fees under any circumstances.

6.5 Relationship to Staking Rewards

Traffic-based earnings under this Section 6 are separate from staking rewards governed by Section 4.3 of the Master Terms. Traffic-based earnings are distributed via the escrow smart contract based on verified proxy traffic processed by your node. Staking rewards are distributed via the staking contract based on node uptime. The two are independent and may be received into different wallet addresses.

6.6 No Guaranteed Earnings

SpaceRouter does not guarantee any minimum level of traffic, receipts, or earnings. Actual earnings depend on network demand, node availability, and successful settlement of receipts. Earnings may be zero during any given period.

07
Logging and Data Use

SpaceRouter may collect limited metadata related to use of the Proxy Service, including for:

  • billing and usage measurement;
  • fraud detection and prevention; and
  • network performance and integrity.

SpaceRouter does not routinely inspect or analyze the content of traffic transmitted through the Proxy Service.

Data practices for other Products may differ and are governed by their applicable Product-Specific Terms and Privacy Policy sections.

08
Enforcement

We may apply risk-based controls, including restriction, suspension, or termination of access, where we reasonably determine that use of the Proxy Service poses legal, regulatory, or security risks.

09
No Guarantee of Access or Outcome

We do not guarantee that access to any third-party service will be successful, uninterrupted, or free from restrictions, including IP blocking or rate limiting.

10
Allocation of Responsibility

You acknowledge that:

  • you are solely responsible for your use of the Proxy Service; and
  • SpaceRouter is not responsible for how third-party services interpret or respond to your traffic.
